Hims places several medication options alongside a required weight-loss membership. The product tile and the membership footnote answer different cost questions, and both are needed before the offer can be compared fairly.
The introductory membership figure is especially easy to remember while overlooking the later recurring charge. This review follows that change and the separate prescription decision behind access to treatment.
Add both parts of the offer
The page checked listed a $39 first membership month, automatically renewing at $149 per month afterward. It stated that displayed medication prices exclude that membership and that an active membership is required. Paying the membership does not guarantee a prescription.
For a continuing comparison, record the regular membership charge and the selected medication price separately. An introductory discount should be shown once, rather than repeated across every month in a projected budget.
Avoid treating a product menu as a prescription
The public menu includes several branded options and formulations. The presence of a product on that menu does not establish its suitability, availability in your state or the price of the eventual prescribed strength.
Ask the clinician which proposed product and indication apply to you. An ingredient name or prominent trial percentage is not enough to compare formulations. Our evidence-reading guide helps distinguish a treatment study from an individual forecast.
Find the membership exit and the care handoff
The useful cancellation question has two parts: how to stop future billing and how ongoing medical questions will be handled if membership ends. Ask whether medication fulfillment already authorized is treated separately from the membership.
Retain access to the prescription details and any written follow-up plan. A budget decision can change when care is delivered, but it should not be substituted for clinical advice about changing or stopping medication.
How we would compare it
Hims is easiest to evaluate when the membership, drug purchase and introductory discount are visible together. We would compare later months first, then subtract a documented introductory saving, rather than building an expectation from the initial price alone.
See Hers for its own published program terms and Mochi for another membership-based offer. Use the Offer Timeline with confirmed regular charges; it does not automatically model promotional months.
One more thing to know
Does the membership price include medication?
The Hims page reviewed says it does not. Medication is billed separately, if prescribed, and an active weight-loss membership is required.

Provider pages document their published offers. They do not independently establish outcomes or service performance. Article dates identify the content update; a new design does not reset an older article’s date.
